The headquarters of the meteorological service is located at this airport. There is also a state-of-the-art Automatic Weather Observing Station; installed in June of 2004. Output from this station includes the usual parameters of Wind (direction and speed, gusts), Relative Humidity, Temperatures, Sunshine Duration and intensity, Rainfall intensity and totals, etc. A manual aviation/ climate observation station is also located here.

Mustique is a gem of an island measuring three and a half square miles. It lies about seven miles southeast of Bequia, and is "privately" owned. This tiny Grenadine Island is known for its ultra-luxury villa rentals and famous homeowners.

     Note: 2,300 ft usable Rwy. plus 280 ft displaced threshold. Displacement is uphill.
       Taking off, sharp downhill gets you rolling. Takeoff to the east has fairly sharp
       right turn down a valley to avoid 150` hill, some turbulence.

Set in the middle of the Grenadine archipelago, Canouan is an island of only three and a half by one and a quarter miles and the main town, Charlestown, lies on one of its longest beaches at Grand Bay. Very popular for swimming and snorkeling, it claims some of the best beaches in the Caribbean.

Union Island features the highest point in the Grenadines with its 1000-foot Mount Toboi. Lying south of St. Vincent, it is only about three and a half miles long with a population of about 3500 residents. The main center is Clifton.
