SVGMETS,
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service Logo, has a
base of a yellow circles with emanating rays signifying the sun and the
friendly staff at SVGMETS.
Centered on top of this is a Navy blue circle. This Navy blue circle
signifies the Caribbean Sea/ Atlantic Ocean and the sky surrounding our
islands.
On this Navy blue circle sits a white central symbol consisting of
two yellow anticlockwise feather-like swirls attached to the left and right of
an oval centre; one swirls leftwards over the top of the circle and the
other swirls rightwards under the bottom of the oval.
This white central symbol resembling a tropical cyclone symbol,
signifies the weather elements and systems which are monitored by SVGMETS ..... the clouds, the wind
and tropical cyclones etc, which so much influence our nation activities by
forming its weather and climate .
Resting in the centre of the central symbol, are green shapes forming the
islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines which are served by SVGMETS.
This central symbol is bannered by the word
SVGMETS and underscored by the words St. Vincent and the Grenadines. |
